just wanted to post this up for those of you like me that want high octane but may not have access to what you need..

Toulene is something you could use and = 114 octane per gallon...you can find this at your paint shop or home improvement stores
Xylene is something i like to use and consist of 117 octane per gallon and can also be found in the same places as toulene.

Please keep in mind that too much can damage your catalytic converters but for those of us that dont have them hahaha its all game.

here is a chart for you all that i found...when mixing octane what you end up with?

Octane Mixing Chart

Xylene and Toluene wont hurt your cats. Its not leaded.

Leaded gas kills cats, such as turbo blue, which is 116 octane.

I used a gallon of Xylene, a bottle of MMO, and 5 gallons of gas, and ran 14psi with no detonation.
:)

actually what this stuff may do is if you get too high octane, you will break your O2 sensors

Can someone export that xls in to a text file? I haven't installed Office on this box.

well the XLS file has a equation embedded in it to calculate your ending octane.

Octane =(O1*(G1/G3))+(O2*(G2/G3))

Amount of Total Gallons you will have = G3 (figure this first)
Octane rating of Fuel 1 = O1
Octane Rating of Fuel 2 = O2
Amount of Gallons of Fuel 1 = G1
Amount in Gallons of Fuel 2 = G2

So if:

I fill my car with 3 gallons Xylene, at 117 octane, and then put in 7 more gallons of 93 octane Texas Gasoline, the equation goes something like this.

Octane = (117*(3/10))+(93*(7/10))
Then:
Octane = (117*0.3)+(93*0.7)
Then:
Octane = 35.1 + 65.1
Then
I have 10 Gallons of 100.2 octane fuel. Supposedly.

There ya go T3ase =P

A mixture of 8 gallons 93 octane gas and 4 gallons Tolulene (114 octane) gives you 12 gallons of 100-octane.

home brew kicks ass. . .if only my fun fuel wasn't 20dollars/gallon

lol nitromethane based fuels. . . ...radio controlled cars

R/C cars are awesome...mine's put away though because of the snow. But then again you don't have that problem down in FL.

I remember reading on hotstuffworks that the octane rating was the percentage of octane/heptane present in the gaz. 87octane meant 87% octane and 13% heptane

So what's with the 100+ octane fuel ? What does that mean ?
