2002 P5
So I was driving on the high way to the mall. I moved into the left lane to pass this van and while my front was equal to its rear wheel, the car moves into my lane. Luckily I was able to swerve into the left emergency lane. I was like wtf, cant you see me. This isnt the first time my little p5 has been almost hit. I love how people in SUV's and vans cant see me. Its like HELLO IM RIGHT HERE. Its not like i have camo or im invisible. Whats up with this. Is my p5 the only one that likes getting targeted!!!! messed up

You're lucky you don't live in florida. I think we import bad drivers. I've been cut off way too many times. I got cut off 3 times on the way home from work once.

agreed there r bad drivers everywhere (getting worse) and many of them r moving 2 bigger vehicles like suvs and vans. they're bad as it is and don't realize they;ve got even bigger blind spots and slower stopping times now. u r not alone tranzformer.

I have a yellow P5 and I swear I have the most problems with people not seeing me in this car. People pull out in front of me regularly. I mean c'mon, the color just screams "Hey, I'm right friggin here!". Maybe I'm just blinding them (boom07)... ?

try driving a miata, or riding a motorcycle

then it's like you have the superpower of invisibility, only you can't turn it off

sure teaches you a thing or two about defensive driving.

I fear for my life when I drive my MR2 for the same reason. It's like it's just not there to people in large vehicles.

I think I'm the only one who doesn't get cut off. In the last 2 weeks Ive seen one friend get almost clipped in his SRT-4 by a Tahoe and a 'Vette in 5 minutes, and another almost get clipped by a Blazer (or whatever they are calling them now) just today.

get some air horns that are as loud as a TRAIN...if they didn't see you....and you lay on that horn they will think they just screwed up and pulled in front of a mack truck and will scare the crap out of them.....

been there done that and they pulled into the other lane really fast!

my Fiamm is quite nice.. and very loud...

a lot of protege owners I know have switched to it.

I had an Eclipse spin out in front of me on the interstate a couple days ago. Pretty scary considering the bad weather we've had. Luckily I slowed down quick enough. I saw a semi in my rear view mirror and thought "oh s***" and took off on the shoulder :D He slowed down in time though, so the Eclipse didn't die or anything :)

FOCL! My husband had a 117 decible, dual airhorn boathorn on his old Mustang. It had two long trumpet looking things under the hood that was hooked to an air compressor. He used to scare the s*** out of people with it when they cut him off.

Just make sure theres no cops around when you use it ;)

Oh and I seriously think some people today simply never learned to drive and they get huge vehicles cuz its "cool". I've almost been run off the road a few times by morons in monstrous SUVs and trucks. Its rediculous. Its not that they dont see you...they just dont CARE!
Although, I must say....the same goes for the little zippy car driving people. I also have a Ram truck and Ive been cut off and raced and everything by obnoxious, overconfident guys (and a few girls) who think because they have a little car they can squeeze in front of my huge grill. (crazy) Sometimes...I make them really nervous and either sit on their ass (thats IF I let them in) or I beat them out with my 8 cylinder so they cant get in and have to drop back and go behind me like they REALLY hate to do. (bump) *giggles*
I LOVE having a bigger vehicle sometimes...you can really shake some assholes up with it. My personal favorite...is when you're on a one lane road and I go to pass someone who is slow and they will speed up so I cant pass them. Then I just either slowly drift towards the side of their car or just jerk my wheel lightly towards them. Either one scares the bejeezus out of them and then I step on the gas and pass them when they hesitate in fear. (laugh) BWHAHAHAHAHA What are you talking about?? Im not an agressive driver!!! ;)

Just be careful and keep in mind who's liable in what type of situation. If your tailgating some jackass who cut you off and he has to slam on his brakes for some reason, you may end up buying him a new car.

My philosophy is "give morons a wide berth". Best way to do that is by staying well in front of them IMHO.

Oh trust me I know, its just worth it to make them nervous and piss them off all at the same time though :)

I had an Envoy do that to me on my way to work a few weeks ago. Was Southbound on the Dallas North Tollway which is 3 lanes. Not sure why he started tailgating me, I think he just wanted to go faster. But when people start following that close, I just slow down and start playing with them.

I made a point to match the speed of the car next to me for about 10 miles going between 55 and 60. When he finally decided to get two lanes over, I was doing 90 before he got around the other car.

Imature, maybe, but tailgating at 75 is just stupid, so I "slowed down to minimize the damage if the idiot behind me hit me" ;).

Yep same here is like everybody wants to chase us and stuff whats up with that well maybe because we drive a sick ass car and they jealous
