HOLY COW! Now that's a short shifter!

Just finished installing my TWM shifter. It's way shorter than I expected. Possibly too short for my tastes. Now 2nd takes longer without the leverage of the old shifter. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

To those who say the install is easy and quick. AAARrrrgggg!

I guess the biggest problem was the snap ring. I had a hell of a time with that. Bought the only one I could find and it was CRAP. Broke one tip and bent two others. FInally got it off with a screw driver. Had to use the snap ring pliers to get it back on. Not sure how I did it, but I got it back in there.

I had to bend the heat shield down a touch, even with the spacers given by TWM. It's much thinner than I thought it would be.

TWM shifter is awesome, I have it too, give it a bit of time to loosen up, you should be able to shift a little easier in a few days

$144 shipped. It's a ball bearing shifter, so it cost a little more. The throw is short as the length below the pivot point is longer. I'd say it went from an 8" throw to 4".

whoa, that looks WAY short. I thought the MSP shifter was perfect! Now I'm digging the casual shift of the new P5!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Another benifit is, if you are like me and lose your stereo remote and find it had fallen down the emergency brake hole!

yah i have a MOMO knob on my Kartboy that is pretty damn tall and it just about makes my sifter as high as that picture.

You also may want to look into the kartboy shifter bushings to reduce any play in the shifter while in gear and such.

Already got em! I'll have to ad that to my sig.

It's amazing how tight everything is now. Half the time I shift, I let the clutch out thinking I'm probably not in gear, but it is.
