sooo last night i was driving my msp (like a total white man) doing maybe 60k in a straight line and i hear this rubbing, grinding noise (kind of like my tire was rubbing on fender really bad or something) after my tires locked up and and my clutch started to slip when i tried going again i realised that it was not my tires rubbing at all... i thought it might be my clutch going because i had heard a noise around my engine a few weeks back and a mechanic had told me it was my clutch springs going. along with that i had need experiencing some chatter in the front end on take offs after a little bit of hard accelleration and heat... soooo after getting my car towed to another mechanic he drained my oil and told me it was very metallic with metal shavings and that he was pretty sure i f-ed my tranny..... anyone have any idea what i could have fricked up and what a new used tranny would cost aaaaand if i can use a tranny from a reg plain jane 2.0 liter protege engine... help!
