HKS SSQV recirc hose kink fix

I got a recirc hose froM SU also and realized it wouldn't work very well when I tried to install it. I really wish it had the slight bend in itthat the stock one has.

i dont think the air that comes from your bov is enough so that a little divergence in the flow would hurt anything but easy fix no less. i see your like a clean engine bay, a nice new red silicone recirc hose sure would look nice in there.

if its forming an elliptical shape its because you have the hose clamp to tight. Also because cobb sent thin metal sleeves and they seem prone to bend from the clamp.

Actually the elliptical shape is coming from the bracket that bolts next to the battery box. If I disconnect that bracket, the intake pops out into its natural position. Weird. I would run without the bracket, but my Amsoil filter wouldn't fit that way.

im glad this threads on the first page.. im actually gonna go drive there now :) my damn vacuum hose has a hole in it from the hood pushing it against the metal from the HKS SSQV.... ive tried a few different solutions to no avail, finally got around to looking for a fix and voila, here you are :D thanks Kain.

sorry for the double post but that fix worked like a charm! my SSQV is clearing the hood no problem and aside from the fact that my recirc hose is rubbing on my intake which is fine, there arent any kinks in either and as a whole it looks great! thanks!

fo sho. still need an access port cause my airflow and such is all messed up as far as my ECU is concerned. lol

Oooo I like this.

I had the valve out again today, and was tempted to cut the stock line, but hesitiated for when/if i want to go back to the stock valve. This definitely seems like a great option.

Thanks
