HKS high power exhaust Video

I would like to see some pictures of how the tip sits in the bumper cutout. Looks like it is very off center in the video??

don't rev it yet... don't rev it yet...

lol. Sounds good

ROFL, ya, I hadnt driven the car all day and he just started it and he started reving and i was like, nooo you gonna kill my car..... anyways, got it for 550 shipped. and yeah, it "should be anywhere from a little over 5-600. and no you dont really gain too much from a CBE as far as power. The real gains are from the DP and the mid pipe. I keep refering to it as high power exhaust cause thats the name of it. I ran the car mostly stock that day just so you can specifically hear what just the CBE alone sounds like.

I will soon as i get a chance. Like I said in the video, the tip is purposely offset, it angles to the left a bit, I actually think it looks great. Probably have to see it in person to appreciate it.

Is this system full stainless or is just the muffler and tip stainless? Asking because I live up north and a coated steel exhaust will not last more than 2 years with the road salting.

The system is 100% Stainless steel, the grey on the pipes are a high temp ceramic coating. Due to all the movement of the MS3 exhaust they did that so it wouldnt damage the pipe. I call HKS and got this info first hand...

There was either a misunderstanding or whoever you talked to was new or something. The HKS Hi-Power is not full stainless steel, it has a stainless muffler and tip, but the piping is coated mild steel.

coating stainless steel would not offer any damage protection against exhaust movement..thats silly.

on a few applications, for example the Evo, they make a standard Hi-Power and then also a Hi-Power stainless. However this is only on their most popular applications, and according to the HKS usa website, they do not offer a full stainless Hi-Power for the MS3-- just thought i'd clear that up.

on this page HKS lists all of their Hi-Power exhaust applications and it is noted where an exhaust is coated SS. There is no note of the MS3 exhaust being coated SS.

So it is $550+ for a mild steel set up with a SS muffler and tip. Wow.......that is not worth it at all!!! Too bad......... :(

Hmmm... thats odd. I was informed it was stainless. I assumed that from the other applications ive seen, and from looking at the parts of the exhaust that werent coated(the tip and the muffler)I assumed the whole thing was stainless. Maybe i was wrong.. IDK, Im gonna go look into that as well.

Yeah when I called the other day I specificly asked if it was stainless pipe because i saw no info under the listing. The person on the phone said, "It's stainless steel pipe with a high temp ceramic coating." Someone else call and double check..lol

I can call HKS USA tomorrow and find out.

I don't understand why people think $550 is expensive for an exhaust...its not hard to find exhausts for $700+.

Also, you do pay for a bit of the name with HKS and its 'JDM' so it has that appeal too.

FWIW, the borla catback for the MS3 retails for $699.99

Here ya go fresh outta th box pics I took at work tonight.... If you have any question or want measurements on pipe size or flange size let me know i'll take pics of anything you like....
