HKPRO5's Supercharger Build Thread

i will. will a narrowband do the same? cuz i can get one from twisfm for 15 shipped. and im not gonna be running more than 5 psi for a while....
 
if you can moniter the afrs, you could run 3psi fine, people need to understand maf systems better, they only know airflow, not pressure. running the supercharger just raises the airflow so its on a different spot on the map, the mazdaspeed tune would be fine, it just has more flow at an eariler rpm and the ecu is tuned for that, for safty (supercold mornings denser air more flow)
3psi in the alps is like normal air on the coast, altitude changes air density....
 
What size Intercooler core are your running? That IC piping is exactly what im looking to do with my turbo.

but would I be able to disengage my supercharger and runfine with the msp tune? Or would the the mp3 tune deliver enough fuel
 
djdub was actually running his car for a while with the MSP ECU before he put the turbo in...
i believe he said gas mileage sucked, but it ran fine
 
with a ssafc? i believe i will just go with a msp flash and hopefully it wont be too bad with the supercharger off. damn i am just waiting for fuad msp to sign on so i can send him the cash and get my little box of power :)
 
How do you plan to fab the brackets, inlet and outlets? Also how are you going to route your piping?
 
not quite sure yet. ill see when i get the sc, and when i get an intercooler/piping kit.
 
Maybe exhaust going on sometime this weekend. Fingers Crossed! Also will add the new map for the SSAFC. (maybe hit the dyno next wedensday or after I get the kinks out)

Also getting a new front lip to replace the destroyed Autoexe lip. Its a Urethane DG lip. Going to color match this one.
 
Got the new tune in. =) love it

Had to switch back to the greddy bov. It wasn't working out with the ssqv. I think there was a hole in the weld at the flange or something.

The exhaust is ready to be put on. New 626 long tube headers, test pipe, all the way over the axle. I still have to finish that part but cant do anything till the rest is installed.
