HKPRO5's Supercharger Build Thread

If you make your inlet and outlet different. The A/C one fits but the main rad does not.

but you understand what im saying about making the inlet and outlets right?

yes. can you post pictures of them so that i can see how they are supposed to be, cuz i have to fabricate mine.

WOuld you be interested in buying an intake manifold without the butterflies? They are ford probe/626/mx6 intake manifolds I have two spares

I'm sure your tired of answering questions about your intercooler and such, but do you think your piping route could be applied to a turbo setup as well?

So.....Ran into alot of problems when installing the 626 header, and exhaust. Right now I have patches made to my problems but ill fix them tomorrow.

First. I didnt have time to finish putting on the muffler. All the rest of the piping is on. But no muffler.

Second. The FN headers blocks (somewhat) the SC intake. So i have to modify the inlet piece.

Third. only 1 of the 3 o2 bungs were accessible. one is plugged for now, the other I had to do some magic to get that to work.

Fourth. The Stock exhaust hangars were in 1" off of the headers. So thats being held by some wire ties for now.

Fifth. The EGR flex line that I got was too short. Also I couldnt get the other end of the EGR port off, there were too many things in the way. Does anyone know what size that is? ( the one closest to the TB)
I think a flare wrench will work great. Just need the right size.

Photobucket isnt working right now so ill post up the pics later.

Nah not really. lol Just the second part of the header. Should have that fully fixed by Saturday.

Things to do.

1. Get two o2 sensor bungs and find two new locations.
2. Flip the hangar on the headers to face the other direction.
3. Cap the EGR port on the header, get a breather filter for the line going to the IM.
4. Modify in the intake adapter for the SC.

Here it is with the muffler. Its kinda low, gotta fix that too. (easier than the other problems though. lol)

so I am still finding a box for it to fit in, once I do that I will get you that quote

on the EGR, if you put in a breather, that will be a HUGE boost leak,

what I did was unbolted the EGR all together and made a block off plate, the EGR is hanging plugged in and I don't get any CEL's

I modified my SC intake to fit headers as well, there should be some pictures of what I did on my car domain

do you know if the kid who bought my kit got it installed yet?

I believe he sold it to someone else. The guy from Canada right?

Ill see if the breather thing works, its been hit or miss for alot of people. If that doesnt work then I will go with a longer corrugated line.

WRONG

the EGR doesnt open during boost bro, so how would boost leak out? it wouldnt

but seriously, the only negative side effect to this, is when the EGR is doing its little test sequence, the car AFR's fluxuate from 12-16 like 3 or 4 times. THis only happens during cruising conditions though, and it does it once everytime you re-start your car

looks awesome. i think you need to lower the car a little more but those meaty tires look nice. aggressive.

how does it sound?

It doesnt sound good at all. I have a leak somewhere. Well I can hear some of it between the hissing and puttering though. lol Saturday im going to fix it all though.

As for the lift. Im picking up some RX8 rims sometime soon. Then I will drop it to a moderate level. Then put my seat back in. =) Then I will be ready for SCCA. But before then i will have to dyno once I get everything nice and pretty.
