Hitch Wiring, 2008 Touring: I think I bought the wrong harness

Hi all,

I purchased the 00008EN13A wiring harness and it looks like I bought the wrong kit. After pulling out the rear bits on the car, this is the connector I found (the orange one). I didn't see any other connectors on the rear harness.

Question: Is there a Mazda kit that will work with my 2009 CX-9 Touring?
Question 2: If not, For an aftermarket kit, can I wire up the power to the power accessory port in the rear instead of running a line to the battery?

Still no dice. When I was last at the mazda dealer he said that 2008 models only offered the tow package as a dealer installed option at time of purchase. I'm going to order an aftermarket harness from etrailer and just go that route.

The OEM harness is still for sale if anyone needs it. Only works on 2010+ models.

I ordered my hitch from etrailer.com, should be here early next week. i went with the hidden hitch package. I'm gonna wire in the lights though i probably won't use them. I needed a hitch mount for my Yakima bike rack. Got the hitch cover from mazdaparts.org. etrailer rocks. I've ordered several kits from them.

Mazda OEM hitch harness part number is: 0000-8E-N13,,its on the passenger side,should be a white connector
