MP3 258/1500 [blue]
So the bushings are in. The ridiculous squeal is fixed. The headlights have been defogged. Tint fixed. The car is almost completely functional so im ready for more "fun" stuff. The next thing is hids..Just cause. Can someone gimme the run through on the best "bang for your Buck" kid. Also is there any additional stuff past the specific kit itself that i need to buy? Thanks.

DDM Tuning slim kit. Go to their website. $55 bucks with lifetime warranty on everything. Amazing deal. I bought them a few years back when they were $110 and have had no problem at all. Go with either 4500K or a bit more but no more than 6000K in my opinion.

I was thinking about this specific kit. I was thinking 55 watt (tell me if its unnecessary) and I wanted to have high/los. No idea on the bulb. And probably 6000 k. Tell me whatcha think

35 watt is plenty. No need for 55 at all. Since you have the MP3 I believe you lose hi/lo ability but trust me when I say you will not need it. I hardly notice a difference when I turn my brights on but at the same time I have only gotten flashed three times in the last three years for them being too bright.

Yeah you don't need highs at all when you install HIDs. I'd go with 35W ballasts and 5000K or 6000K bulbs. It won't look ricey or attract too much attention with the cops, but it sure as hell will be bright!!

I am against DDM after having bad luck with them. I highly recommend Xenith Xenons 2G kit, George is an outstanding guy and will treat you right. He personally emails and calls me after I receive each kit for feedback, good luck getting that from DDM Tuning.

I just got my lo-beam setup from DDM. It took 2 weeks from the time I ordered to receive. I got 2 wiring harnesses & 5000k bulbs/ballasts, but I am still awaiting my 3000k bulbs/ballasts for my fogs. Which is fine with me since I have other projects I need to finish before I do the fogs anyways...

It seems that you have a new recommendation for HID companies & kits every other week... ;)

2 weeks is atrocious on turn around time.

FYI, I've been recommending these guys for awhile.

Atrocious?? Really? I mean I wouldn't say it's the best, but far from atrocious... Counting in Memorial day weekend, it was 9 business days from the day I ordered (after 12pm) until the day I received them... Lol, that's pretty decent, for a large co. to process the order and ship across country. Seeing as we have authorized vendors here who have worse habits. (shrug)

Not saying you don't know your lights; I was more or less just giving you a hard time. ;)

2 weeks is just a little much, I've pretty much have gotten all my stuff I have ever ordered a week or less.

I would agree with you 100% (just thought "atrocious" was a bit much, lol). Although directly on their website they tell you, "We are currently @ a 5-9 day processing time on current orders." And I received mine in 9 days, so well within their quoted processing time. Honesty is one of the most important things in the retail/customer service biz. Just don't yank me around, be up front and honest and I'm fine with that. I knew I wasn't in a rush, and I got HIDs for half the $$ @ DDM for a few extra days of waiting. Good trade-off to me.
