HID question

I tried searching but i couldnt find an exact answer. I got an HID kit and tried installing it but couldnt figure out how to do it i found a how to on how to do the fog lights but that doesnt help much for head lights. Do i really have to remove the bumper to install the lights? i cant just pull the old ones out and plug in the HIDS? I have an 07 Mazda 6

You shouldn't need to pull off the bumper. The HIDs should just be a plug and play. Take out your stock bulbs, connect all the wires in the kit, put in your new bulbs, test them to see if they are working. If so, unplug everything and put the ballasts and wires where you want them. If the lights don't work, you either plugged them wrong or they are duds.

I don't know about the 6, maybe you have to take off the bumper to get to the stock bulbs? I doubt it though

thats what i tried doing that but i couldnt figure out how to get them off, is there a tab or something that i have to push to be able to remove them?

what kit did you buy? also i've put a bunch of kits on mazda 6 and we always drop the bumper and pulles off the headlights it makes it easy also it makes a cleaner install

I bought the elite HID kit 8000k, but i got them in a while ago its not the cleanest job but it worked and the lights are on so i guess i did good. Thanks for the help, i also wasnt sure how to take the bumper off so i didnt want to try or take it to mazda cuz i think they will charge up the A to install them, but thanks for the help everyone! i guess ill post pics once it gets dark
