HID lights should be banned...

I personally think anyone that finds someone with HID lights should be allowed to bash the lights in.
Damm are those things annoying as oncoming traffic.

haha you just say that b/c you don't have them. b/c before i got thme on my MP3 i used to hate them. Now i LOVE THEM!!!

if that was the case why do people buy piaa's and other xenon lights then? trying to imitate the HID look? Thats the most common explination.

I'm fine with factory HIDs or properly installed and aimed HIDs but a lot of the aftermarket HIDs are a pain in the ass.

Here in NC (not sure if it's nation wide), most of the HID kits are illegal. The HIDs need lenses made for HIDs to be legal. They're different than the lenses for standard bulbs.

I hate being around people with them too. If youre the only one on the road its fine, but if not its like freaking high beams.

I'm going to make it a point to go behind people with HIDs on and turn on my highbeams. (getsome)

I've honestly never had a problem with peoples HID blinding me. Expedition's, lifted Chevy's and semi's really bother me though. Expecially when they're right behind you at a stop light.

I'll go along with some HIDs/aftermarket lights being annoying for sure, but that's more than likely due to them being incorrectly setup. Whenever I've seen factory installed lights on cars, it is completely fine.

HEY HEY HEY wait a minute, where did you get the info about HID's being illegal in NC . As you can see I am in Charlotte and am planning on ordering a set very soon. Not that I care about them being illegal but I have never heard this. I seee dipshits running around every day here in charlotte with civics and such with all of the multicolored lights and foglights and projector headlights that blind the hell out of you cause they didn't aim the things. Oh yeah what about all of these cars out there that have hid's as a factory option and the lights are no different than the non hid????????? My opinion, NO OFFENSE and FLAMESUIT ON, most cops don't know what standard equipment is on a car anyway. Besides you can get it thrown out of court for improper equipment. Basically all you have to do is get them aligned by a shop and take the receipt to the courts and viola your out of the ticket. Pain in the but to go through but hey no ticket and that is if you even get messed with in the first place.

You can get away with it for a while but a friend of mine is a member of the TCCoA and one of the local members had to remove his HID kit.

I've heard this subject on car shows too. Apparently the same thing happened (lots of complaints) when Halogen lights were first introduced.

If and when we all get HIDs, properly aimed of course, this will no longer be an issue, it's just something we have to get used to.

I think they are cool as hell. I know mine are aimed right because I drilled out the housing for the original bulbs and ran them through that. I've seen my car's lights from another car and they don't blind at all. You shouldn't knock them till you try them. Best investment on my car as of now

Ok uhhh just 1 more question ....If the K2 kit is a plug and play design and you are buying the correct bulb(H7) then why did you drill out the original housing. I mean that would kind of destroy the headlights if you ever wanted to or had to go back to stock. Just asking not flaming.

It is plug and play but I wanted to seal the light the right way, so I took the black backing from the H7 bulb and drilled it not the actual housing that way when I put the rubber boots on they will go arount the black composite light backing
