HID Issues

So I purchased / installed a new apexcone h4 hi/lo kit about a month or so ago. I'm having 2 major problems (one more serious than the other)

#1.) My lights won't turn off. At first they turned off fine, then for the last week it has been a little tricky finding the right sequence (turn car off, then lights off, then E-brake) etc. But now, they won't turn off at all. I had to unplug the ballasts and hope that it is not currently eating my battery life. Any ideas?!

#2.) Never got the hi/lo function to work...when i switch to high beams, the lights just turn off. Any ideas here as well? I'm pretty sure I installed them correctly, I don't know where I could have possibly gone wrong as it is all just plug-and-play, right?

Thanks a lot guys for any help!

I got it figured out, However turning the lights off is like dealing with a crazy combination lock.

I need to shift into Park, turn ignition off(not all the way, just to the middle setting). Then turn the lights off, turn car all the way off, then e-brake up. ANY variance in this process results in the lights not turning off.

Also if I don't put the e-brake up, the lights won't turn back on the next time the car is started. And don't think about opening the door - haha that apparently messes things up as well.

All in all, I'm glad to at least have hi/lo function now!
