HID High Beams?

I picked up a 6000k H1 kit on accident for my MS6, thinking they would work for my low beams. After realizing that my high beams would take them, I've decided to swap them out. I know, some people will probably go "Why?" Well, I do a lot of driving on unlit roads at night so my high beams stay on a lot. I know that to access the bulbs, you have to remove that cover/hatch/door. My question is...if you HAVE done the HID conversion with this bulb, did you run the wiring out through the opening and drill out a hole in the cover/hatch/door or did you do something else? I also plan on swapping out my D2S's with 6000k's as well, which are sitting on my kitchen table right now. Should look nice with the 3000k fogs that I have installed right now...

All help is appreciated! Thanks! :)

Most people who retrofit halogen to HID end up drilling a small hole for the wiring, then putting a rubber grommet or using some silicone to seal it back up. That's my suggestion on how to do it, and I've done that several times on installs for other people's cars.

Thanks steve!!! that's what I'm thinking about doing. Just wanted to make sure I was in the right mindset ;)

Yep, you should be fine. I did 2 sets on a Fusion, and one on a CBR600 that way, no issues to date with any of them getting condensation or damage.
