I told you that you would phucking trip when the boost finally hit you! :D Call me later.

Guys,

I'm thinking about getting the Hiboost kit too. I'm wondering how the kit would do in the MP3, with an understanding that the MP3 has advance timing?

I'll be purchasing the kit very, very soon. I'm waiting for my student return check... hehehe yea!!!!

later..........

Phucking A! Glad to hear you like it. If I ever went turbo I think Hiboost is who I would go with. But by the time I would be ready to get a kit, I'll get to see how you guys' cars hold up with it.

So basicallt their kit is A-OK for an automatic? SOunds good.... any internal mods needing to be done?... worried that the engine will not last as long since it will be running harder...........

Pirana good to hear it's all going a ok please tell me about the engine management system you are running getsome photos up and how was the overall install like you got the kit did you need much else after that(like in parts)like if i got the kit it will take some time for me to get any more parts if needed from HIboost:D

Wow, you just got it running now? I thought you started weeks ago?? What was the hold up?

Anyway, glad to hear you're finally boosted. Any issues yet? Everyhing kosher?

The HiBoost kit uses a Haltech piece to replace the ECU..So timing the advanced timing shouldn't be an issue.

I think that's right.

no its just an f10 that controls fuel, the e6k or e6X does timing also. there are outputs from the f10 and the others to control other things like boost controlling and timers and fans... its a parralell fuel ecu... not a new ecu or stand alone.

deckedoutmp5 and StuttersC, so how will that work with the MP3? Will it cause any damages or cause major problems, and will it have any problems in the long run, lets say within a year or two or less? Please let me know, I'm a rookie at F/I applications, I'm learning as I go.

I want a turbo kit that is reliable without having to worry tooo much about my engine blowing up on me. I'm a graduate student at UW-Madison, and can't worry too much about my car.

If anyone has installed this kit on their MP3, please express your thoughts.

He was having to juggle getting his parts coated, waiting on special parts, family time, and a crazy works schedule.

Victor, when we get a chance, we will gauge the perfomrmance of your car with a quick run to finally fend off the remainder of the doubters.

Oh, ok...I was a little confused as to what was going. From the way things read the F10 did it all and e6K or e6X was going to be a step above that.

Thanks

Doesnt Rishie have this kit too? Rishie how do you like it? How long have you had it? Also who exactly makes this kit? On the website this is their only product, yet it says they have been doing this for 14 years? I kinda want to have some more info on the company before I dump $3,600 on a turbo and possibly risk damage to my engine :P But hey other than that the pix of the kit look real damn good! haha:D

I got a chance to drive the HiBoost Car @ 8psi also and it was excellent. very smooth boost transition and power. he had just gotten it dynoed @ Dynamic 259whp @ 13 psi w/ like 105 gas 302 wft-lb tq too. It was obserd. I am now 95% not getting my RX-8 on order and boosting my 5 b/c of this kit. Alll i can say is i was impressed. Good luck and im envious, hopefully not for too long

Didn't see before, but they are a company that has built turbo kits for a long time with the FS motor in the 626 in many other countries. The kit is fabbed well, manifold is well built and cast so not as much flow but a lot less cracks, its personal opinion. Excellent bar and plate intercooler that keeps factory foglights, IHI turbo felt excellent to me, upgrade to the HKS SSBOV or a greddy type S too instead of the norm. The intake is designed to bolt up to the factory air box and that is the reason for the long intake pipe. That is possibly the only thing id change by way of heat wrap or re re-routing but it is a good idea for compliance sake.
