Hiboost then TICK!!

I know the engine ticked b4...it always had a slight tick, but now when i pull into my garage I can hear the tickin. Then when i pop the hood its almost unbearable. Its only been a week, i dont see how the valves would need adjusting already. The noise seems to come from the back of the motor towards the injectors, actually right around the injectors, which leads me to think its them. Do these tick becuase of added fuel pressure of the haltech system? Anyone please....the car runs fine, but this is worrying me.

is it a tick or a bsssh bsssh sound...if its the bsssh bsssh sound its your injectors spraying fuel.

all little 4 bangers "tick" mine always has, but i noticed once i installed my turbo i started getting paranoid, and i would have my head in the engine bay for like hours trying to hear s***, so maybe its possible you are just paranoid like me.

LOL!!! Ive always been paranoid, highly possible, but the tick i think has gotten louder and its louder to the rear of the valve cover where the injectors are.

The haltech...DOES NOT add fuel pressure.......it keeps the same pressure as stock...

as for the ticking....paranoid...i have it also...I will confirm this after I go out for a drive.

honest to god truth..i had a 413hp nitroused '95 5.0 GT, which I blew over time. when my mom came to miami to get me a new car she saw all that i had done to the stang and refused to get me anythng else other than a 4 banger with 4 doors....thus P5. so if anything happens to this car IM DEAD!

The hiboost is runnin awesome...a little rich, but awesome, but this tikin has me not sleepin at night

Don't worry about the ticking. It comes from the injectors being multipoint now instead of sequential.

The stock ECU fires the injectons sequentially which is at times and the Haltech fires all 4 at the same time. This is why you hear the ticking. With larger injectors it is even louder.

BTW, Toronto YP5 is right. The haltech does not put more pressure on the injectors.

i was int he car with ryan the one time on the way to the model shoot and s*** my pants...specially with those horrible (IMO) coilovers that practically had you riding on the crossmembers everytime you hit a bump lol

Honestly, I noticed the ticking as well, and it seemed to get louder, I spoke with a friend of mine and he said it just could be the crummy gas, so I started burining 91, and every now and then 104, and the tick isn't there...I've noticed that it does it more in hot weather than cold, Nothing wrong with your car, it's just the conditions.
