Hiboost E-Management

I am very interested in this kit my only question is will I be able to change the speed limiter on my P5. A turbo would really be a waste of money if I can only do 130mph.

Protege 5 is gear limited on speed...

It might be drag limited when stock, but boosting the power means you can over come that drag barrier.

Either way its a small increase in top speed if any. The only reason to put in a turbo is to get to stop speed, ALOT faster :D

Protege5's and MP3's do not have speed limiters like the MSP. Our top speed is only governed by the rev limiter, which is 7200RPM, so how ever fast 7100RPM in 5th gear is, that's how fast you can go. SMP3000 took a picture of his turbo MP3 going 140MPH. I'll see if i can find that pic somewhere, it's pretty old.

The gear ratios limit the top speed...I know there is no electronic limiter (or govenor) because the gearing only allows about 142 top end.

Do the math...final drive and 5th gear with tire diameter and all that. You'll see.

i also dont know about the fuel cut off, ive hit 7500 and was fine... plus it was 10-13 lbs of boost... so i dont know, but then again my car has always been a "one off" car... oh well.

Do you have some sort of piggy back taking of fuel needs? If it overrides the ECU then you probably wouldn't have a fuel cut-off unless it is set in the piggy back unit itself.

you know what your right, i wasnt even thinking, its cause i have a stand alone fuel managment system and it over rides the ecu... i am retarded, its monday and a crappy day... forgive my dumbness. but yeah thats why i can hit 7500 and im ok.

What fuel managment are you using?

So, do you have all the f10 knowledge that we need to be able to hook us up? I'd have the same setup if you stick with the f10 then.

f10's are very easy to use, all the rx-7 guys swear by them. its a dos based system with a old gui but its cool. the 11 and newer ues halwin with 3d maps and what not. you can use the f10. does a lot of stuff. i would get a p5 ecu though so you lose the advance timing. in boost that advance wont mean anything power wise, but just rather a great risk for detonation.

Our kit overides all limiters as long as they are "fuel cut" limiters. With the F10 you set your own limiter rpm.

Regarding timing for the MP3s, we are almost done with the E6X upgrade wich means full engine management. It will be a $400.00 upgrade. This will allow to run 12 psi daily on 91 octane and probably 14 psi with the larger injectors upgrade and 92 or 93 octane.

The stock ECU will still be doing the idle rpms, the auto tranny controls etc.

Juan,
so what you are saying is that if I purchase the turbo kit, I will need to spend an extra $400.00 for the E6X that would control timing? And this means its a full engine management?, is this a pre-program plug and play system?

Thanks.

905MP3,

Our kit comes with a F10 Haltech computer. The kit is designed to work on the P5 running 8 psi for 210 WHP, or the MP3 at 5.

For the guys looking for more, we will offer the E6X upgrade to control timing and enable them to go beyond 8 psi . For the MP3 it is a perfect upgrade.

You will need to wire 15 wires and that's it. It is like doing a stereo system. It is simple if you follow the instructions step by step. No mapping needed. Connect and play.

Juan

Juan do yu havea price worked out for the E6x seperatley of the kit. i know alot of people that own other kits would like a more affordable option to full engine management and want control for just the primary injectors.
