well saturday im installing my tein springs and i have hids 8k silver protege 5 with the fat 5 spoke rims and i was just curious what color should i paint my rims im open to anythinngggg

well my friend would sand them and what not then use some spray paint hes the one whos doing it for me i just dont know what color i want something that would look nice and not so common

I think personally that anything beside the monochromatic scale (white to black, gunmetal etc) looks pretty goofy as a wheel color.

What color is that car?

he said silver....so what you're saying he should go gold..... that would rock dude....all the thugs would be jealous.....so i would be guessing sanding....a good coat of primer and then a few of the base color and maybe a clear or is that overkill????find out if you could

i think there's a how-to on painting rims... i've also been thinking seriously about painting my rims to... there pretty jacked up with lots of scratches and some dings. plus the clear is totally gone and now looks more like brushed aluminum... im thinking gold/bronze like the STI rims... if not im gonna do some kind of dark black/gray

no bronze or gold....well depends on color......thankfully mine only have a few scratches on the rim.....i just wanted black rims but i found these adr phantoms(17x7) for 350.....

Black or gun metal for sure. There is a silver P5 in my area sporting black rims with polished lip and it looks sharp.

As for painting them pretty easy but time consuming. i read a how to somewhere not sure if it was on this site or another one. you just use your basic principals of painting and duplicolor sells wheel paint in spray cans.

Which is why I'd do it, lol.
Actually, I like bronze/gold rims especially on a white or black car - it's a good look, IMO.
I also wonder how it'll look on Silver.
Too bad I got stuck with yellow.

id do black but in miami theres so many silver cars on black and id go for the time attack on some nice rims but im broke
