Hello everyone, first time posting but I've been reading these boards for a couple months... Just thought it was about damn time to start posting after the death of the 5 . And maybe vent a little bit...


Girl decided to make an illegal left turn between two lans of backed up traffic without stopping to check for oncoming traffic from the one clear lane. Of course I had to be right there as she was pulling through and there was no way I was going to see her until I was out in the open ie 10 feet from hitting her. No time for anything really, hardly time to even think "ahhh sheet." Nailed her passenger front wheel at 30mph.

Just got the official estimate and it's way totalled 1 day of use on the new intake. Loved that car, guess it was time to move on anyway though

Hopefully I'll be able to get into something new, like a MS3

lol. they stopped the estimate at $9900 and just said it's totalled bye.

Didn't take pics of the engine bay but from what I could see besides what's in the pictures:
Bent frame, radiator bent/cracked, crushed air filter, motor mounts broken so the engine and transmission are jerked out of place by about 5 inches or so but seems to be working fine (from shifting, third gear was farther over than 5th was supposed to be)... And lots small misc things that flew off.

Took a trip down to the local dealer to take a look at some...

MS3 may be in my future but not yet
