See, I originally didn't want a flat wall'looking box like that but it was impossible to do a slant/wedge in the front because of the dimensional constraints of the trunks shape. The way he has it now all the seams fit so tight. (see attached pic)

Ya know what I'll have to try that- maybe it's the midrange setting that is making it do that. Like you said, any of the settings (bass, mid, trebble) can introduce distortion into the system right?

That s*** is tyte! Great work! Did you take the car somewhere to have it done or did you do the work? Just curious...my husband is seriously into car stereo installation and custom work...he is almost done with my install...will post pics as soon as he is done.
For real that is an awesome job!!!

Thank you. I took it to Tweeter and had their best guy work on it. Me and my friend could have simply wired the amps and built a basic box but I wanted it done "professionally" that way if anything goes wrong it's on them...and out of their pocket.
