ok guys seen the tut on how to connect the wires fromt a speed trap device to the cigarete lighter but tell me how does the panles b4 the handbrake come off ?and how does the panel that hold the lighter come away?

open the arm rest/center console lid, then pull up on the cup holder piece that goes all the way to the front of the center console. then unscrew the shift knob, and pull up the shift boot or gate piece up. both pieces are only held by clips. Then, unscrew 2 screws just below the ashtray, and pull the ashtray/cig lighter piece out (one piece). It's tough to take out because the holding clips are tight, so take your time.

thanks for the good advice all done now and it looks gr8 looking for more things the the harmon/kardmon set up looks like it could be next
