Help!!!

Hey guys a huge problem

So i put my car in the garage for the weekend, backed it in actually and drove it out today and now when i go to put it into reverse i CANT. ITS LIKE THERE IS NOTHING THERE.
Delare cant look at the car till friday, anyone else kno what might be wrong???????

i already have the boot off and the linkage and all looks good

Will the shifter shift into the reverse position, or is it locked out?

Also can you push the shifter down? Pull the shifter cover/center console and look at the shift lever. Move it back and forth and check the springs. You said you checked the linkage in the engine bay and nothing is blocking it right?

Yup nothin blockin the linkage in the engine bay.
And took the boot off and it looks perfect

whats happenein is, i can push the shifter down and then when i go over to reverse its like its locked out and when i push forward it slides into 1st

Make sure the pin on the left of the shift lever slides under the plastic guide when you push down. You might need to visit a dealer but I'd remove those mods first unless you think your dealer would be cool with them.

Someone else had this problem...don't remember who. Might not even have been this board. Anyway, they just pushed reeeaaalllly hard and it went into reverse. Not that I am suggesting that.... You might want to do some searching and see if you can find that thread.
