Can some one please help?? I installed my Alpine V12 MRV-T407 amp and connect the rca leads to the rear of my Panasonic HU and hooked the amp to my front speakers. I left my rear speakers hooked up to the HU as per normal...
Problem is that now it is all hook up and running, when you adjust the fade to the front the sound is cut off. It is like both front and rear speakers are hooked up as rears but as I said, the fronts are ran through the amp via rca cables.
Have I missed something or done something wrong??
Confused newbie installer!(ughdance)

If I am not mistaken, most head units that have one or two sets of rca outputs are for mono subwoofer and the rear only. Your higher end Head units give you the output for the front. Good luck!

The behavior you are experiencing is accurate if a) you only have one set of pre-outs or b) you have multiple sets but connected your cables to the rear set.

If you want front/rear fader capabilities, try swapping the front and rear speaker outputs on the back of the head unit. It's a little backwards...but it will work.
