Help with thermostat change

I have a 2008 Mazda 3GS, 2.0L Automatic transmission. I am trying to determine what the smaller of the 2 hoses connected to the thermostat is called. I need to replace that particular hose.

should be called a bypass hose if you are referring to the small hose that connects beside the larger hose on the thermostat housing. if the red lined hose in this pic is what you are talking about it is a bypass hose, easiest way to get the right one (as our cars have several) is to take it off and take it to the parts store and have them put in bypass hose and match it up. https://images.search.yahoo.com/ima...gen1&fr2=piv-web&hsimp=yhs-006&hspart=mozilla
