Help with Black Leather Interior

Hi. I am having problem maintaining my black leather interior on my CX7 GT. Dust is readily visible so I invested on a portable vac/Dustbuster. Vacuuming it everyday has been a routine and I'm tired of it. I was wondering if the sand interior poses the same problem as far as stain/dust getting readily visible.

I know that dust will always be there. I also clean up the leather and plastic surfaces with protectant. They're good in making the interiors stand out.

Anyways, any suggestion would help. Thanks

there are a few different variations of this product, but, i must say, its worked like a charm for years. You can use it in almost any situation and the dash and whatever else you clean with it looks perfect like you have just spent 20 mins cleaning it every time. Also works great on exterior with pollen etc.

edit: unless i have a stain from a soda can or something dripped somewhere, this is basically what I use all over the car. protectant is good obviously for maintaining material, but this duster thing does the job every single time w/o using any sprays & rags and no uncomfortable manuevers. a def must have

Thanks Mikey. Never thought of that. I'll be buying it today since I can't stand seeing dust on the interiors. I'm anal like that hahaha

yea - i was the same way with my previous car, black leather, drove me nuts. im telling you - u will be amazded at how simple this thing really is and how it looks lol - literally 2 mins few swipes here n there and its brandy new

I have the sand interior and I don't notice dust on the seats at all.

Though I do have to clean them regularly as they pickup dirt (oils from skin i'm guessing).

You have to be careful with some of those protectants. Like the Armor All dash stuff. It is a magnet for dust. I just use damp microfiber to clean my dash.

man i have the same problem as you shaz i cant stand it...it loooks so damn good when its clean but gets dirty in no time...i wipe down and vacume the interior like once a week

I have the sand interior (cloth, not leather) and haven't had trouble with dust on the seats but do keep a microfiber cloth in my console for dusting the rest of the interior. I use it (dry) at stoplights any time I notice any dust and don't have a passenger who'll tease me for being so compulsive. Otherwise, I've been using 303 Aerospace protectant regularly on the interior (other than the cloth seats) and haven't had trouble with it being a dust magnet. It also makes it easier to remove the inevitable scuff marks that appear. (To help make the application even, I spray some 303 on a wet microfiber cloth and then wipe the surfaces down. Then I buff it off with a dry microfiber. That approach leaves a nice matte finish.)

I love the car dusters too. I have one by OXO, but pretty much just use it for the exterior. I find it has a bit of a strong scent so I don't like to keep it in the car. But I agree with Mikey, it is amazing on pollen and dust. I use it before I use any Quick Detail spray.
