hi all i am new to this so please be cool. I just installed my pioneer amp and 2 10's. I did not buy a new deck because i wanted to maintain my steering controls etc etc. i used a tsunami LOC bought from circuit city and wired it correctly using the rca cables. i have no sound comming from the subs. i am not sure what i have done wrong. I had trouble finding a ground and settled on bolt under my carpet in the trunk next to the spare tire. the LOC (FL-LOC600) has a seperate brown wire and states that i should hook it up to the amps ground only if no output is heard. should i remove the ground wire from the amp and run this brown wire or leave it connected and run the brown wire to it also. any informtion would be of great help as the kid tha was suppossed to do this was either here and very lazy or just didnt show the hell up. thanks

you sure you hit the right wires, i have the 04 3 5dr. i guess who ever wired it at the factory thought it would be funny to reverse wire color through the car. so just to make sure i hit the right wire i spliced in to the wire at the door, ran it to the back and secured the loc in the spare tire area. i had the same problem also, never hurts to double check every thing, hope it helps...

my loc is right behind my HU i spliced into the wires right at the harness coming out of the stereo.... i grounded mine right to the hu chasis. double check your loc deffinatly, and make sure your amps are on, you did run a remote turn on lead right?

yea so my friend just stopped by and his man in the car got out and tk a small length of wire and ran it from the power connection on the amp to the remote wire on the amp and it began hitting. he said something about a remote to turn it on and off but i do not know much about wiring to do this. so any more ideas as to what i should do or maybe someone could simplify what he said. i was thinking of just re-running the remote back through the car using a new length of wire but i dont know yet. ill decide after i getmore input. thanks

oh yea i have a blue 04 3 4dr, i taped into the bluewire with the red lie running thru it de to the fact that there was no straight blue wire. nothing seems to have happened to the car so hopefully ive taped the correct wire.

you need to tap a wire that turns on (12 volts present) when the car/stereo turns on. that tells your amps to turn on then they suck their power from your power lead from the battery.

edit for wire color

yellow with silver dots. found info here http://www.sounddomain.com/ride/495957/10
