Help with a transmission oil??

I just went to get my oil changed....and the guys there said my transmission oil was really low....Then they said that they didn't have the right kind so they couldn't add any.....I only have around 16,000 on the car.....Do you guys think it could be low, and what kind can i put in it until 30,000 and i change it all to syn...

Why wait?? Check out this thread. I'll be hitting 20,000 very soon and I changed to Red Line MT-90 already. Really easy to change too.

well right now i don't have the time to do that......so how can i check myself to see if its low and what kind of oil can i put in it....

you need GL-4 oil that is 75w-90 gear oil.

If you are low I would take it back to the dealer. You either have a leak or not enough was put in the first place.
