Man I think i'm now have a full blown addiction with this thing now. I went over to autopia and it seems like people love the Werkstatt prime and AJ. Anyone with experience with that stuff? can AJ be put on with a PC?

woohoo I just went over to lowe's and they had the PC 7336 or something like that for $42 on clearance!!!!!!!! I snagged the last one there with a big smile on my face!!!:D

Excellent price on that PC.

On that note, here is my first attempt at a 'pseudo-autopia' detail. True autopians would probably shoot it down...those folks are fanatics.

But, for what it's worth, this was a Wash, Clay, Wash, then Jeff Werkstatt Prime with a PC, Acrylic Jett (applied with PC...not necessary, and put on way too thick so was a real pain to remove) topped with Acrylic Jet Trigger (AJT via microfiber towels.). AJT was the easiest to use of all.

Being new to the game, I havent topped AJT with any wax..not sure its necessary. Super slick end result though!

Jason

PS. I know I know...if i wanted mirror reflections, should have went with black.

I'll have to check out OPT on my next order I guess.

I went with the liquid so that I could use the PC. Wanted to do things quicker, thats why I went with that.

yeah take a look at optimumcarcare.com. you will like it once you try it. you can apply many paste waxes with the PC. well with the 7424. never used that lowes thing. anyway, good luck with it.

EDIT: watch the 1st vid on this page at autogeek. it showes how to do paste wax with the PC. http://www.autogeek.net/xmt-ultra-fine-swirl.html

might want to watch both of those before starting out with the PC.

The lowes one is the same thing as the 1424 just a different weight I believe.

Nice job on the white p5. yeah I think its the lighting that makes it not look as glossy as it should be.

Thanks for the link on the paste wax on a pc. Didn't know you could do that. Well next time I'll get the soveren paste wax. Sucks cause its on sale right now at autogeek

you will enjoy the liquid also. if you are not trying to win any contests or anything its not a big deal. it will look very nice. post some pics when you try it out.

Yes, the PC 7424 and 7336 are identical except for the counterweight that is included. The 7424 comes with a 5" weight, while the 7336 comes with a 6" weight. Aside from that, they are the same thing.
