Who is the vendor on here that sells the OEM MSP diff's pre-welded? I can't find them and I know they are a vendor many on here have used.

Car is being towed to the shop tonight so I will need to find this out asap to get it ordered.

Thanks

this depends on a good deal of factors. you now have people taking broken ones and welding them rather buy a new welded unit. saves money? sure. not as strong as a new previously unbroken one? absolutely. welding a broken part does not mean you are fixing a broken part and certainly are not making it better than what it was at that point.

we have repeat aggressive dyno runs over 300hp on our welded LSDs with no breakage whatsoever.

thanks. I just got dropped off by the tow truck who is going onto the the shop who will tearing it apart to verify what I think the problem is.

Ken, I would like to know avail of this and from where you ship please. I left you a message at your shop and sent an email but I'm guessing you are probably quite busy. However, I have no car right now and need to give the shop working on it some kind of idea of how long my disabled car will be sitting in their shop before I give them the part they need.

Also, do you offer any discounts to forum users?

i ship from chicago, IL. i have the LSDs in stock, just need to get it welded up. should take no more than two days for that.

I would appreciate it. Thanks again.

Good news for me (and my car) is that I'm in Madison, WI so it's just next business day with standard UPS ground :)

Ken--can you hook me up with an update on when I can expect to receive this (I'm just over the WI/IL border)? The shop that has it won't touch it until they have parts (understandably).

Thanks!

I was really hoping to get it by this Friday, but if you can't then I will just have to prolong my vehiclelessness (<-new word).

If I have to wait an extra day to make sure it's done right then I'd prefer that over a "hurried" job, so whatever you can do to retain that qualifier and still hook me up by Friday, that would be great. Otherwise, I understand.

As soon as you get that done, youll have to replace a head gasket, then when that gets done youll remember you forgot to tq the studs to the right specs AND COOLANT WILL GO EVERYWHERE AND THEN AND THEN AND THEN

To answer your ? no it never ends. Modified cars need to be modified on a regular basis.....they are like wifes they need sex every once in a while.

Ken, has the shop given you a more solid day when i can expect to get this? I feel like an a$$ buggin you b/c I know we are both waiting on the welding shop, but I guess not knowing what day I expect the part is creating more stress than I tought it would.

I feel like I'm starting to be a burdon to the people that are picking me up and dropping me off to work every day (not to mention feeling like a burdon to you (poke), so I'd love to at least tell them when the light at the end of the tunnel will appear.

This is definitely contributing to an already shameful situation for yours truly, and come spring I am most definitely selling the car--too many bittersweet experiences with one car in such a short period of time. (shrug)
