the multi lipped seal that the crankshaft protrudes thru
also known as the "rear main" though in a transverse layout it seems out of date

I doubt either your rear main (behind pressure plate) or front main (behind the serp belt pulley) are leaking those kind of quantities.

But, if you are asking what a main seal is,..... it might be time for a second set of eyes on the problem

After I replace the PCV Valve this coming weekend and it happens again I will have it looked at. Thanks for your input.
