help help hks bov problem

okay, i have a 2010 mazdaspeed3 and i just bought a hks ssqv3 bov and wen i set evrything up recircluated i dint get noo sound wat so ever??? n e ideas...
and i tryed put the cap on the recircluated pipe an i have sound but now check engine light came on??? any ideas on wats the problem

(not sure if your car is stock besides the bov) but when my bro put a bpv on his cx7 (same motor as the speed3) his bpv was very very quiet, you could barely hear it. but when he put an intake on, u could IMMEDIATELY hear the bpv, it was so much louder! how they should be! maybe thats the issue. not sure about the cel tho

if u have the stock box i would say it should hinder sound. idk what the cel is, you should hear the bov if ur running VTA, but u might shoot fireballs, wont get a cel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-1wblf1t50

do an intake, its wayyyyy worth the money in this car. about 20-25 hp increase

have you checked what code is being thrown? Might want to start there guy....

I hope I understand what your saying. You first installed the BOV running it recirculated and there was no sound. Correct? The reason there is no sound is because all the sound is just going into the intake pipe. Can you take a pic of what you have going on so we have a better idea of what the problem might be?

he prob just took the recirc hose off the BOV, and capped that part of the recirc hose lol. the car runs better recirculated, period. put it back to recirc, and get the full intake from corksport, u will get a sound, its the intake muffling the noise you desire.

I see your avatar is a MSP. It was the same for the MSP too. The bpv was quiet until you got an aftermarket intake. You shouldn't hear the bpv anyway since it is recirculating back into the intake. Getting an aftermarket intake or even just a filter will amplify the sound of the recirc. Even though you have the HKS SSQV, recirculating it will still cause the sound to be very minimal. What is this cap you are talking about? If you tried running it vented, that is probably the cause of your CEL since these are MAF metered cars. Maybe you can post a video and a pic of your engine bay for more clarification.
