HELP Hawk Ceramic Pads

I bought a set of rear and front Hawk Ceramic brake pads from raceroots.com. The front ones don't fit. Right now I have old pads on brand new rotors and I'm not happy about that.

I'm having trouble finding the right part number for the correct hawk ceramic pad s for my car.

Here is the part numbers that I bought:
Hawk Brake Pads Performance Ceramic (Front Set) HB549Z.702 1
Hawk Brake Pads Performance Ceramic (Rear Set) HB478Z.605 1

2006 Mazda 3 2.3L

I have tried calling Race Roots multiple times and the number is not valid. They also have no yet responded to any emails.
Anyone have any ideas?

Nope, what you should have gotten was HB519f.682 front and HB517f.608 rear. The rear number is like a .01" different but costs $10 less than what you got. What price did you pay for them, if you don't mind my asking?

I finally got my hawk pads. HB519f.682 front and had a problem with the rear I got 571f605 and it turned out I needed 478f605 so I had to put the old rears on newly turned rotors. I am not impressed with the performance. Did you get your pads fully installed, and how do you like them?

I just installed the HB519F.682 and HB478F.605 on my son's '06 2.3L, along with new Centric premium rotors. I'm not impressed with the braking. I bedded them in according to the directions, but it feels like the rears aren't grabbing much. I even though maybe I still had an air bubble, so I took the car in for a brake flush. Even the E-Brake feels like it's not grabbing hard - there's no way it would hold on a hill. Not sure what's wrong.

Ok, at least I am not the only one that thinks their car does not brake as well with Hawk pads. I also bedded the pads in and I feel I do not have full stopping power. Strange indeed!

I also get a creaking sound from the brakes just before I come to a complete stop. I'm hoping some of these issues go away after getting some more mileage on them.

I have that same noise, must be the nature of the beast.

Still not happy with the Hawk pads

I'm still not getting good braking performance frmo the Hawks. I tried some fairly hard stops the other day, and it seemed like the more I did it, the better it got, but I'm still having to really stomp on the brakes to get a decent stop. Any idea what could be wrong? For instance, when hard stopping from 40, the ABS won't come on until the car is down to about 10-15MPH. The brakes generally don't seem to grip well until the car has substantially slowed.

hmmm. not to sure what to say to the ABS deal, but I have found that the more heat (stops) that gets into the system the better. I would say too much for a daily driver. I have gotten used too it now.
