Help! Emblem Removal: 2001 Mazda 626

2001 Maza 626 ES (Black)
Hey guys, I'm new to these forums. I know there are other "emblem removal" advice threads on here, but none are specifically for a 2001 626 ES. I was originally planning on removing the emblems on the back altogether, but I opened the trunk and realized that all of the emblems are screwed into the trunk.

So, my next step is this: I would like to remove them, paint them, and replace them. This is were you guys (hopefully) come in. How would I go about removing the emblems SAFELY, what kind of paint will stay on permanently, and how would I go about replacing them? the screws seem quite difficult to reach from the inside of the trunk, and I am debating whether it is worth it to remove them. Also, I might want to remove the "M" from the grill, paint it, and replace it.

BTW, my car is black, so I would like to paint them black to match, or would anyone suggest a different color?

Also, what kind of touch up paint would you suggest to use on the body for scratches? Any specific company? The previous owner drove like an old lady (well, she was an old lady) and could not park her car in her garage for beans. Therefore, both side view mirrors have noticeably large sections of paint missing where she hit the garage frame, and I would like to clean that up.

Thanks!

if your emblems have screws, then the only way to remove them is to take out the screws 1st. another possibility is that your emblems use screwed on locks. try pushing on the screws with your fingers, they should pop out.

Ok. Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow. Any advice on the other 3 million questions i posted? lol...

ok, for which paint, any paint will do. you just have to prep the surface of the emblems properly 1st before painting to avoid problems later on.

for the color, it will depend on what look you're after. black will make the emblems visually disappear specially from afar.

I figured out that two of the four emblems have "screws." The "M" and the "626" emblems are both bolted in, but the "ES" and the word "MAZDA" are both just stuck on with adhesive. Additionally, the emblem on the front pops right on and off. So, i've decided to leave it, because only removing two of them will look tacky if any different at all, unless anyone else can suggest something different.
