Help! :( Damn wheel lock

I have a new set of wheels and have attempted to put them on my car. Of course, when I get to the fourth wheel ... <b>I can't get the lock lugnut off!!</b> (argh)

It's come to the point where I've started to strip both the wheel lock and the wheel lock socket. (rant) Does anyone have any ideas ?

On my old car I hammered a socket which was a few sizes too small onto the stripped lock. It takes patience but it may work.

Don't over torque it next time yeah, I know it's a wise ass answer.

My lugs were overtightened once and I ended up breaking the lock key trying to break it loose. I called the manuf and ordered 2 more keys and finally got it off.
I called around and no one said they could get it off guaranteeing that the wheel would be ok, so :wtf: to that!!

Good luck. You can try WD-40 or some of that stuff used to break loose things like this (can't remember the product).

If you can't get it off yourself I'd take it to Discount Tire or similiar.

ask a nearby shop to use an impact wrench on it

I would say get a breaker bar and have someone hold it on tight while you stand on the end
