I just bought a set of used coilovers from a friend. I called a shop to set up an appointment to install them, and they said they won't do it unless i am sure they will fit. Unfortunately, i cannot find a part number on these coilovers anywhere. They came off an Eagle Talon, then went on a Hyundai Tiburon, and now I have them. I was wondering if there is any way i can figure out whether or not these will fit. Thanks guys!

do you own a jack? that would be the only way to tell for sure, is too try them
i dont know much about a 626 but i know on the protege the rear strut hats have 3 bolts each and the front has 4 each
are they full coilovers or just coilover springs?

The set includes the springs, a metal piece that goes in the bottom of the spring to adjust the height, and two caps for the top of the front springs.

I took a look at them today compared to the stock ones, and they are almost an inch thinner in diameter! I'm guessing they will definitely NOT fit then, huh.

Sounds like you have universal coilovers?

you can probably make them fit, but I don't think a shop will put their business out there for something they had to "make fit".

Get some beers and some buddies together... I'm sure between a few people you can pull it off.

yea those arent coilovers, those are coilover SLEEVES

they should fit, it doesnt matter if they are smaller, i have ground control sleeves and they are alot smaller then the stock springs

Measure the inside diameter of the coilover sleeves. Then jack up your car and measure the diameter of the front and struts.

i figured they were sleeves. My friend just kept calling them coilovers.

If i have to "make" them fit, then i dont want to risk it. I'll just save up and shell out the $250 for a set that i know will fit and a shop can do for me.

That being said...... does anyone want to buy a set of coilover sleeves? lol
