firstly, i searched, but dont really know what to search for.

with that out of the way, i was driving around today and all the sudden my car starts really bogging when i give it gas. i could give it some gas and it would go for about a second, then start bogging like hell. so i pulled down a side street, and it was idling like s***, 100-300rpms. i popped my hood to see that my radiator hose had a small leak where it connects to the engine, right at the bottom of the hose. i turned the hose a little bit, then put the clamp back on and now it's not leaking anymore. problem not solved though. it still runs extremely rich, with a lot of black smoke. suggestions?

The slight leak at radiator is a known issue.. And you should never touch your coolant hoses when the car is hot if you think something is wrong.. The coolant is extremely hot.

As for rich and low idle, sounds like a faulty sensor somewhere.. take it in.

Check engine light come on ? If its a sensor that causes an issue more the 1 time, your light would be on.

Is your engine makeing a clanging or metal grinding noise? Its really hard to try and "troubleshoot" via the internet, but more info would help here. :D

bad gas maybe, did you just fill up?
If I hear bad ****** gas one more time on this board I am gonna s***!(boom07)
This is everyones excuse for everything...This answer from a very uneducated standpoint.
Bad gas can happen but happens so infrequently that it should not come up as much as it does.
Sorry I don't know whats going on with your car but i would put money down that its NOT bad gas.(boom07)

(lol) Out of all the people I know and all the combined years of driving there, I have heard of only 1 time someone got bad gas. ( I get it when I eat Chili and hot peppers)

Yeah...Bad gas usually equates to a bad holding tank that has let water leak in and the level gets low enough to get the Gas/Water mixture into your tank when pumping...Other than that...Bad gas really does not happen unless its left sitting in a tank for a long period of time undisturbed and un-used.

Sounds like either a leaky hardpipe connector or a bad IAC valve. The aforementioned takes about 5 min. and $0. The latter will cost around $600 if not under warranty.

Check out that 1st gen blow off valve. Some times they can be stuck open, and you lose alot of the air going into your engine. This makes your car super rich and will pretty much be stalling out. You will not get a CEL, but a lot of black smoke and she wont run to well.
