hello all i need some help here my 02's rear caliper is leaking fluid from the spring pin were the e brake connectsto the caliper . a new caliper will cost me 377.00 from dealer. I havent been able to find a junk yard with a matching one. the dealer also sell a rebuild kit. i was wondering if anyone has used this kit and it will help me out of this crappy situation thanks in advance hopefully some one knows or has a spare caliper they could sell

my right rear caliper is starting to stick on me. at my shop we use a very good brake company/service that can rebuild calipers. that is what i plan to do in the next week or so when i have time. id rec asking around to some shops that specialize in brakes and seeing if they know of companies in your area that can rebuild it before i shell out the doe for a brand new one.

Wow, that seems a complete rip-off (even for a dealer)
Rockauto sells remanufactured rear calipers for around $60 - you may need to reuse your mounting bracket.
Oops - more like $120 - there's a "core" charge too, whatever that is - still a lot less than the dealer.

Autozone. $67 after you take your old one back(core). You will have to prepay and order it but it comes in two days. Also easier than rockauto because you have to mail it and wait to get the money back.

Make sure that the res. stays topped off or you will have a heck of a time bleeding it when you are done.

You will have to reuse your bracket as that is a different part number and not included in the sale of the caliper.

There is a how-to on here for the rear brakes.
