all right people i will need some help here and maybe even pictures

im having problems with building my CAI when it comes to the intake temperature sensor. i know the stock one pligs right into the stock air box but my fabricator is wondering if it is supposed to be elsewere. is it supposed to be before or after the turbo?

he says that the place it is at now, by the filter before the turbo, it would cause the car to run very rich and bad and if we were to place it after the turbo it would run leaner and better creating more powahh..or so it is on his car

so if someone can help us clear up this confusion and maybe post pictures of their injen or other CAI showing where the intake temp sensor is, that would be very nice and usefull to me

the injen has the intake temp sensor between the filter and the maf.
though i agree with your boy there, that having it on the cold pipe would make more sense....as far as any rich/lean/gains, i dont know if you would see much, but maybe.

too lean = detonation

too rich = bogged performance.

yeah you MAY run more lean, but the reality is that the difference is negligable anyway and youre better off running rich rather than lean.

the other thing your fabricator is unaware of, is there is a separate temp sensor @ the throttle body
