HELP!! Bogging at 4K RPMS, No Boost.

Yeah, fuel pump is in my list, but I'm wondering about this high-ass idle. I can't figure that out, and I think I'll be changing the plugs/wires/coil packs anyway just to be on the safe side.

P0300 random misfire is the SAME code i got when my fuel pump assembly was going out fyi... it popped on after the car almost died on me from jerking so bad. I would almost garauntee its from your fuel pump system like mine... I replaced it and it all worked perfectly

Does the photo above in post #34 show the screw that could have been messed with to change the idle?

Check THIS out!! Alright, so last night I was reading in the Mazda workshop manual, page 01-16-07 to be exact, and saw that the one hose going to the IM from the purge solenoid was supposed to be going to the catch can on the other side of the engine bay. Well, I went out this morning to take a look, and this is what I found. A line from the catch can was cut, and just hanging there. Going to re-do this to make it right, maybe that will cure something at least.

Turns out they had that hose pointing the opposite direction, so I turned it the other way facing the driver's side and it connected up to the hose coming off of the sensor with no trouble at all. Apparently they just pieced things together without knowing where they went. I'm still concerned about the high idle, I haven't tried to drive it yet since hooking up that hose to the solenoid though.

I'll bet that solves 99% of the problem! Lucky!

Alrighty, I took it upon myself to adjust the screw on the throttle body until I was at normal idle, and so far it's doing awesome. Idles around 1k rpms, sometimes a tid bit less, but not much. Throttle response is good as well. But, just got another CEL, P0303 this time. I ordered new NGK V-power spark plugs earlier today, still gotta find coil packs/wires. Ordered fuel pump assy last night. I'll be replacing everything, it needs it anyway.

Will be as soon as I get that other intercooler pipe I ordered. I'm also waiting on the SS AFC V2 to get here, so once those two things are on we will see :) I've also changed my coils, wires, spark plugs so it should have a nice new beginning. I'm also planning to clean the EGR valve just to make sure that is good as well.

subbing. Is she purring yet?

I haven't had the chance to drive it yet after fixing everything, but the intake pipe coming from the turbo was very loose when I got home, like the shop guys didn't put it on there right or tight enough.. so that may be why, otherwise I have a fuel pump waiting also just in case.

Sounds good. Did you figure out why your speed was in a funk?
