Hi Guys...

I have a problem, lets see if you can help.
My management lights up every now and then, and then goes off, it was off for like a month, andcame back on this morning.

I have DP+Rp combo and CAI... stock software.

I did runan octane booster this weekend, and was driving rather ....spirited.

checked all conections b4, dealership cant find anything wrong.

the weird thing is it will go off in a week or so and then come back on randomly for like a week, and then off again for a month.... possible fault?

The cel was there before I did the cai.

PS, MS3GT, i also had a 2l but a B16 Vtec head on a CRV 2l block....

Probably CEL due to your DP. Just take it to Autozone and I think they read them for free or you can find someone local with a DashHawk who can read it. AAMCO does free reads as well.

My bet is Cat Warmup CEL which is nothing really.

its def. the DP causing the light.. you can try getting an anti fouler. stack 2 together... it should solve the problem but if it doesnt then your turbo is smoking too much cause the light. I had my light keep during on/off even with the fouler and finally i got my turbo replaced under warranty and it fixed the problem< plus no more smoke which is the best part..

What DP did you have , just say your pics?

with any check engine light, its really crucial to get the code read. even if the light goes off, the code is typically stored on the ECU and can pulled up. many auto parts stores do this for free so there is really no reason not to these days.

You dont have to wait till it comes back on. All CELS are stored in memory.

i wouldnt doubt with the dp if its a 2040 it hink it is. its an exhaust gas recirc reading. mine does it every month of so.
