Hello Michigan?

not a fan of suburban's service either- i bought my car from there - wanted them to do the motor mount check before i picked it up but they didn't (i had this written in paper when i agreed to buy the car, since some people were having trouble getting service departments to check it). when i went back to get it done, they said they'd do it blah blah. they took 8 hours to do something that takes maybe 20-30 minutes to do. on top of that, they tried to charge me for the work so i had to spend another 1 hour going between the salesperson, manager, and service department. NEVER going back there again. I would've bought my car at sesi in ypsi, but they didn't have a black mica gt at the time.

i prefer sesi mazda out in ypsi, they ALWAYS take care of me very well. Been there 3-4 times for TSB's and other things. they scratched my aftermarket bumper on a parking curb once, but they took care of it and repainted it in a few days.

Hopefully I don't run into any problems or need warranty work because I wouldn't want to have my car worked on there. I laughed at them when they told me a Mobile 1 oil change would be $100. In my mind I put in a superior oil and filter ( Penzoil Platinum 5w-30 and a wix oil filter) and it cost me less than $35 to have a garage do it.

speaking of oil, anyone want to buy a bunch of ms3 oil filters? i have a bunch of wix filters with o-rings that i'll need to sell.

I bought extras when I was getting mine done or I might have been interested. I even have 2 extra's of the plastic filter housing.. According to mazda you need a "special" wrench to get it off that they cant sell and only their techs can get but you can go to an auto supplies store and buy one for $2.99 like I did and not have a problem.

Dude they told you $100??? Man I'm glad I didn't even bother asking. I'm not happy with them at all. What a joke.

They charge a premium for the oil and then labor. So yea, $100. I hope none of you buy a real performance car any time soon. Hate to see your faces when you get the oil changed in your 996. :-)

That's why you do it yourself, plus, it really helps you to get to know your car.

Oh, btw, I had a chance to check out a 2009 Mazda6 last night. That's an impressive car! I wrote up a pretty detailed report in one of the threads in the auto news section if anyone wants more info.

Yeah porsches and bmw's are insane for oil changes, those are just the ones i know people that have had experience with. A $100 oil change that has $25 worth of oil (they probably get it cheaper), a $6 filter, .66 crush washer and almost $70 worth of labor for something that takes less than 15min? That's just too rediculous. That is how stealerships make their money though.

I did see the 09 mazda6 in the zoom zoom magazine that I now get, it sounded nice on paper, when are they going to start coming to showrooms?

I know Job 1 already started on them, but I believe that they'll be in showrooms by the end of July.

My sales person has been sending me every bit of info on that 6 she can. My lease is up on the CX-7 this year and I can do early turn in by August. I dont know what I am going to do yet. Having a kid plays into it. Might just buy a Mazda5.

I've bought 2 cars at Sesi in Ypsi. Their sales people are great. Just ask about a car and they throw you the keys and say have fun.

Their service department has been getting better. They have always fixed things, but it always takes too long. They don't have many parts on site and are very busy with the Ford products. (go figure)

I got a chance to see one in action on 275. It passed me at like 80 mph, so I had to catch up. Took my exit and headed for Ypsi. Sat behind it at a light. Had 4 people in it, and dealer plates. Very nice looking car. I hope they redo the 3 with those kind of lines soon.

Steve,
Did you get pics of that new 6?
I snagged one rear half with my cell phone cam, I was asked not to take pictures until they show up in showrooms. That's why I tried to be as thorough as possible in my review

No :(

I believe it was a dark blue one though. Looked like the one on the mazda website.

Yes, it's called Kona Blue. Very sharp. Compared to our navy 500, it looks much sharper.
