I never thought Indiana as an eastern state. Perhaps it should be grouped in the midwest/central section of states. Most Hoosiers would call themselves midwesterners!

You are correct. Kentucky and North Carolina are where the south begins.

99% of my family is from/lives in southern IN... I've never seen any nice Mazdas when I've been there, just lots of ricey domestics.

I'm in Bloomington. Not too many nice mazdas around here either. One MSP I've seen and an RX8 with some nice mods, but that's it. There's no shortage of Hondas with fart can mufflers to laugh at though. (hah)

I used to be in the Indy miata club. They had some pretty nice events (police escorted cruise through downtown Indy (first) ). Any protege communities around?

Only protege community I have heard ofthat is even remotely close is in Cinci. Here in Louisville there is a really nice Jspec MX6(spicy with a painted cf hood), a small handful of really nice Miata's, a few FD's, and a small handful of RX8's.

I have only seen one modded MSP and two modded MP5's.

Nope, not a lot of nice mazdas down here at all. i like mine though. when i get back home it will get some more work. but then, i also might be moving to indy. it is kinda nice knowing that i can go almost anywhere locally and not see another p5

Southern Indiana

Im probably the only 98 mazda protege around town in jeffersonville indiana(southern Indiana) with anything remotely done. I have yet to have seen any proteges or newer mazdas good looking. There is one orange 2003.5 msp running around the new albany/floyd county area.

I work in downtown Louisville in the heart of 4th Street Live. I like to take a cruise down Skyline Dr everyonce in a while.

You are right though. Why doesn't anyone do anything to their Mazdas down here? Mine is one of three in all of Jefferson, Henry, Oldham, and Shelby counties.(pissed)

Nope, I can't say that I have but I hear a lot of good things about it. My dad has been there.
