what the f***...

cliffs if you don't wanna read: they can't do as they're asked or paid for

picked up my car just about 3 weeks ago and it wasn't exactly clean
apparently it had to be driven from another dealer

my sales guy* tells me no problem bring it in (later) and we'll take care of that

so, some time goes by and now it's time for an oil change
i get it scheduled on monday for 9am today, as well as tell them that it needs a full detailing as it should have been when i picked the car up

i tell the service guy the same thing when i drop it off for the oil

i want it as it came off the assembly line - CLEAN

he gives excuses right off the bat that he's doesn't do anything with that
w/e
i tell him to write it down and that i'm going to be anal about the maintenance and the result of the cleaning
hand over the keys and go inside to wait, as i figure if i get it by noon, that's plenty of time to do these two SIMPLE things

TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER, i figure i'll go see how it's coming, and suprise, i'm told it's done
great!
i go look at it and notice right off there's assloads of water streaks
wtf
looking closer i find a lot of yellow spots - no fukn idea what they are
i see scratches that weren't present when i brought it in
the wheel wells were't touched, the inside of the wheels weren't touched
(YES i expect them to be, after all i bought a new goddamn car - would you go buy a set of plates at wally world, open the box and find food stuck on them? no of course you wouldn't. would yo uget pissed off? you betcha)

apparently all they did was drive it through a car wash machine

i get to the counter and they want me to PAY for the 1st oil change when i was told it "would be taken care of"

ahh, no.
a call to my sales guy takes care of that problem

i speak to one of the brainless morons (same guy i talked to when i dropped it off) about the problems with the cleaning, he says "all it says here is spot wash"
**** you.
took all i could to not smack him upside the head
this is where i should have known by the way he made excuses when i dropped it off i wasn't ever going to get it cleaned right and the words he said earlier sank in.

i go to open the door and i find a fucn paper "floor mat" still in there as well as the stupid hang tag
two problems that should not have been there when a customer opens the door
i get moving and then notice that the dash has a lot of crap allover it
seems they wiped it down with a damn paper towel, leaving fibers all over the damn place
what the hell is with that? the dash was FINE before i brought it in, now it looks like it's not been touched in 6 months, with all the dust on it!!!

looking around i still see spots inside all over that simply weren't touched at all

TWO AND HALF GODDAMN HOURS FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND A WATER HOSE SPRAYED ON MY CAR

i call my sales guy back, and i'm so PISSED OFF (not at him) it's hard to even form words...
i ask him to tell the service manager to call me back a.s.a.p.

i'm still waiting for the call...

*member on this forum, btw
got no issues at all with sales/finance dept. perfectly fine through the whole process
service? took them 30 seconds to piss me off enough to never go back there for anything, or reccomend them to anyone

When I worked at a shop as the detail guy I loved working on cars for guys like you. Neutral drops, brake stands, etc...

If you had that attitude when you went in you can probably rest assured that all of the lot techs took turns having a good time with your car.

Also, how did you expect them to detail your car in 2 hours?

the guy TOLD you they don't do detailing, did you think they were gonna go to home depot to pick up a mexican who could do it for them?

then you would have complained about the taco sauce on your seats (thumb)

I bet you were a real dick when dealing with them so you got the "special" treatment

funny..............

got anything usefull to say ?

Nice way to start your posts on this board, NOOB. Here's a tip- if you don't have anything useful to say (in English)- STFU!!

Keleko- I think you probably should have stayed there when you first picked up your car to make sure everything was perfect before you left, so that way you could have torn up your contract and walked away from the deal without giving them anything. If you had threatened that, you KNOW your sales guy would have done ANYTHING to make sure the car was delivered to your approval. Unfortunately, after the dealer gets your money, they don't really care about making things right. The sale is all that matters, and doing "free" service (or just about any service at the dealer) doesn't rank high in their book. You're much better off doing it yourself, or going to a trusted independant shop to get work done. I know you only went to the dealer so they could correct the problem, but in reality, they've already got your money from the sale, so they could care less.
Sorry you had to go through all of that to find out.

ahhahahahah sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo true, when i worked at the shop we did the same thing. Loved it when people came in like this cause then the boss looked the other way when i did burn outs all over the place and half assed it.

its the people who come in tell u to take your time and not to hurry that get grade A+ service from techs and other service people. (first)

LOL, let me get this straight, they offered for free to clean up your vehicle and all you did was b**** about it? What are you too lazy to pick up a vacuum or go to a car wash yourself? I don't get it.

To request your car to look as clean as the day it came off of the assembly line is ridicilous.

why tell them to clean it like it jsut came off the assembly line, your car won't be clean like that unless you go to a detailer yourself

I guess I'm the only one who agrees with this "noob"

(first)

Go to Eddie Accardi Mazda next time. They always treated me right, and lose the stick up your ass. You catch more flys with honey than vinegar. I'm in the the food industry so I know better than to give someone attitude when they will be handling something of yours. Gunther service depart does suck though. My friend got a Jetta from them. Plus at Eddie Accardi you can go next door and drool over the STi's.

I also agree. The guy sounds like a punk ass with all his demands. What ever happened to asking nicely? He should have complained 3 weeks ago when he picked up the car and it was still dirty.

The problem with this Stormtrooper is that people nowadays walk all over you. Sometimes you have to be an asshole to get s*** done correctly. Trust me on that. Do I agree with being polite, yes. Does it always work, absolutely not.

I guess what I meant was to ask nicely first, then escalate from there. The guy's first reply was a demand even though the tech said he didn't do that.

So let me get this right...you pretty much almost blew your lid because of a car wash? Isn't there more important s*** to worry about?

Dang if lint on the dash gets your panties in that much of a bunch, I would hate to see what a real issue would do to you. What, on the roof with a rifle?

Take a deep breathe... and get over it.

i totally see where keleko is coming from sure he was prolly having a little attitude but y the **** not. when i went to buy my car that s*** was so clean on the inside and out, maybe a lil dust but it was defintaly cleaned. and thats the way it should be. he has every right to b****. they promised him a clean car and instead all he got was a half assed job, and an oil change that took 2.5 hours.
there running a business that sounds like they dont like taking care of paying customers
