Hi everyone

This might be a stupid question but is it posible that the focus 2.0 is the same engine as mazda 3 2.0, this is fairly common practice for manufacturers.
If this is the case we may be able to interchange parts for cost and performance.

Yes, the Duratec 20 and 23 on the '05+ N. American Ford Focus is of the same architecture as the Mazda3 2.0l and 2.3l engines. However, each manufacturer has tuned it differently and may have added their own components to it (e.g. counter-rotating balancing shafts on the Mazda 2.3l).
