2013~2016: heater fan motor stopped working

:
mazda cx-5
thought I would ask the brain trust here. 2016 Mazda cx5 battery was dead in the morning. charged it over night and the next morning started ok but the gas guage said tank was almost empty when it was full and the heater fan won't run. another thing i noticed the blinkers are blinking twicew as fast as they should. anyone had this happen to them and is there a fix?
thanks
bob

about 5 volts, gas gauge showed almost empty, put gas in the tank, only took 5 gallons and now the gas gauge is working but not the fan motor and the blinkers are still blinking fast.

5 volts after the charge?

1.You need to get the battery close to 12v. 2.Disconnect the battery then reconnect it.

That is really low because the Mazda system should shut off power below 10v.

12.7v is good if it stays but you might have to remove one of the battery wires to clear everything. Wait a little then reconnect.

The question is why 5v? Four years on the battery, or has it been sitting a long time?

well I want to say thanks to all that answered my post. got everything back the way it should be, fan works and turn signals are back to normal. just disconnected the negative post for a few minutes and reconnected it. turns out the wife left the car in accessory mode. battery is less than 2 years old but I am going to have it tested.
thx

Sux for a two year old battery. I didn't start my cx5 for over a week last summer and it went 'dead' but testing at a battery shop showed a good battery undercharged. I used a 2 amp trickle charger and it's doing ok now but I bought a B&D battery maintainer.

I might need to replace this summer but as long as it starts it's doing the job, even if the voltage is slightly low.

I bought some LED voltmeters and plan to add to the dash somehow.
