I am looking to get HID's. i need all and any information on them. Is it just a system i install with the headlights i have now and switch bulbs or whole new headlight part? and how much would it cost to transfer over? thanks!!

Most kits include everything you need to convert, and they come with the bulbs. A very good kit costs about over 250, a decent kit for the P5 can be found around 100-140$. You need the H7 bulbs for the P5 lowbeams. You will also have to choose color temperature. From low to high temp, you get yellow, pure white, bluish white, blue, purple.

Note that in the US these aftermarket kits are mostly illegal because our reflectors aren't made for HIDs.

Search the forums, there are ALOT of threads about HIDs with tons and tons of info.

welcome welcome!

And you don't need to spend $200 plus on an HID kit.

Check out xenonexpert.com he sells Apexcone kits that work great, or, check with protophile, as he sells techone kits as well, for $99 shipped

I run an apexcone kit ni my car for the past year, and the wife has the techone for the same time.

No problems with either kit

you have a canadian P5 with daytime driving lights?

if that's the case, you'll need to use teh "Hot-to" and disable the driving lights because they don't allow the HID system to operate properly

Or did you mean the foglights?

Best bet is to search for Catz on Ebay. everyso often there are a few sets up and they do require a little custom fab work for a bracket to fit, but they are 100X's better than stock foglights

hey pro quick question.. how did you black out your headlights. thats pretty tight. any help would be appreciated bro.

Or, ground it to the chassis to get 12V and then it works with daytime driving lights also.
