I'd also contact the seller to inquire about the ballasts (control modules) for those. The 3rd picture seems to show a male connector and screw holes where a ballast would be located. You're likely looking at another $250-$400/side if you have to buy those from the dealer and especially if you have to import them...

Luckily I have ballasts but I think the bulbs should be H7 in these. These are the first ones I see under $800 though

Wouldn't Japanese spec headlights be aimed the wrong way, since they drive on the other side of the road there? You'd be blinding other drivers and wouldn't have enough light to illuminate signs on the side of the road.

They aim backwards and into the car. Also they strobe the entire electromagnetic spectrum when you kick on the brights. Talk about crap!

he is probably correct. the optics would step up to the left instead of the right, being brighter to oncoming traffic.

I don't know about the light used in Mazdas, but the Projector Headlights in a Smart Roadster can be set between LHD and RHD by adjusting the reflector, even has R & L markings, this might be an option here so check that out - but it might also be on EDM cars only since we have both RHD and LHD in Europe.
I plan on getting a 92' Mazda 626 and can probably check that out later.
