Just purchased a used 2004 Mazda 3 and noticed some dirt/grease marks on the inside surface of the clear plastic headlight cover. Can the clear cover be easily removed to allows cleaning the inside surface? Does the entire assembly need to be revoved? If anyone has experience with this, please give me some guidance. Thanks!

are you sure that it is on the inside of the glass? Try some plastic polish on the outside first and see if that takes care of it. If not, you have a few options. The first and best option would be take it to the dealer and see if they cover it under the warranty. If not, you may be able to bake the light and separate the lens from the housing, clean it, then repeat the baking process to re-glue it to the housing.

I've baked mine a few times...it can be a scary process but not really hard with a good walkthrough w/ pics.

If you can get this done as warranty work, so much the better.

The insides of the lenses scratch VERY easy, I scratched mine alittle and it bugs me every time I was the car. Use microfiber and a gentle cleaning agent, dont have any suggestions on what to use but nothing w\ ammonia.

I use PlastX, but it wasn't very effective on the inside...gets the outside of the headlight very clean though.
