Header-back straight pipe + RB Exhaust?

As much as I wanted to get the CorkSport exhaust with racepipe, it was cost-prohibitive for me. I instead opted for the Racing Beat axle-back, and I love it. But I'd really like to go catless on the cheap, so I've been considering going to a shop and have them straight pipe the whole section between the headers and my RB muffler. Has anybody done something like this yet? And how much do you think it would cost?

I asked a local shop once awhile back. I was quoted $50 to weld a straight pipe/cat delete. If you want to increase pipe diameter though it will be more.

Awesome, for that price I'm going to have to do it. Anything under $150 is good for me. I won't go any larger than CorkSport's 54mm piping though, don't want to kill exhaust velocity.
