Head swap

I have a 2.3L head off of an 05 focus ST I was wanting to swap to my 2.0L Mazda 3. I have heard that the motors are practically identical, but i have also heard that the mazda has VVT. However I can not find any solenoid on my car to confirm that. another thing I am wondering about is the deck height of the two blocks, from what I understand the 2.3L is taller. So I would need a longer timing chain? I am hoping that the will swap over for a little more power. All help is appreciated

I know this probably doesn't help much but from what I read the vvt is on 07+
I could be wrong but that's just what I read.

As for the swap I have no idea. Sorry

Yeah Im almost positive I dont have it on mine. I have a hunch that I am just going to have to just pull it apart when the time comes and figure it out. If it doesnt fit then I guess I will have a ported focus head for sale and then I will have to do the same for the mazda head. BUT I would like to know a head of time so I dont have to do the work twice.

Any body know????
